Evelyn worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the State School and Heritage Square prior to her retirement.Evelyn was born May 28, 1930, in Forreston, IL, the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Welp) Ludewig. She married Clark Brecunier on April 10, 1959 in Nachusa, IL. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1981. She then married Barney Millard on April 4, 1986 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nachusa, IL. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2016.Evelyn was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hollister, MO. She enjoyed volunteering at the local community center and for hospice. Evelyn was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, loved fishing, and doing crafts. But, most of all she loved spending time with her family and beloved dog Maggie.She is survived by her two children, Jeff (Tina) Brecunier of Hot Springs, AR, Tony Brecunier of Winneconne, WI; one brother, Mervin (Gale) Ludewig of Polo, IL; one sister, Barbara Horner of Mt. Morris, IL; two grandchildren, Shawna (Wyatt) Berogan and Chad (Cassie) Brecunier; five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Berogan, Emily Berogan, Bailey Berogan, Luke Brecunier, and Sydney Brecunier; and many nieces and nephews.Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Laverne Ludewig, Larry Ludewig, and Robert Ludewig.Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Franklin Grove Cemetery in Franklin Grove, IL.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon.Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
